Christian Dare for DTK MEN: How to Pair Your Trendy Outfit With The Perfect Cocktail

Christian has been a cultural and style junkie since the age of 6; while most kids were swiping cookies, he was swiping his grandfathers’ Patek Philippe. Raised to appreciate art, fashion, design and literature (yeah, this one actually reads) by a single mother fondly called Jackie-O. Christian quickly went from childhood cultural capital thief to academia protégé. Reffered to as the cat’s meow by some, too clever by half others, Christian eschewed the academic life and ran away to join the circus – the fashion circus. Several well-appointed positions later and a career on the rise would be most people’s dream but it was time to say f**k off and start all over again.

This is Christian Dare (un)edited.

Camo Goes to Camp

Camouflage has recently become a menswear staple – it should be in every man’s wardrobe alongside pinstripes and windowpane. But for years, this military inspired pattern has been relegated to fall. Not anymore – this pattern showed up on the runways of many fashion houses for summer. So pull out your camouflage and rock it during the summertime heat.

Drink it with: Moscow Mule

“Just like camouflage, the Moscow Mule is a bit of a drink in disguise. Sweet yet spicy and with a hidden kick of vodka. This classic cocktail is refreshing on a hot summer day.”

4 oz Ginger beer

1 1/2 oz Wyborowa vodka

1/6 oz Lime juice

Preparation: Combine Wybo and ginger beer in a copper mug or highball glass filled with ice. Add lime juice. Stir gently and garnish with a lime slice.

Drinkware: Copper mug or highball glass

Shorts Get Shorter

Men have become more and more conscious of their health and their physical fitness, so it should come as no surprise that men’s shorts are getting shorter. After all those hours in the gym, why hide those legs you have worked sohard on - the ladies will thank you.

Drink it with: Wybo Sour

“The last time short shorts were this popular it was the 70s, so why not try a drink born in that era. Shots were first created in the 1970s during the days of disco; the Wybo Sour is an easy-to-make shooter that’s perfect for a party shot.”

1.5 oz Wyborowa vodka

.75 oz Triple sec

.75 oz Lime juice

Glass: Cocktail or shot

Preparation: Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass or divide between two shot glasses.

Think Pink

Kanye proved that pink isn’t just reserved for the ladies or the preps but can be streetwear cool. But this isn’t the baby or hot pinks you have seen before – it’s gone dusty rose for 2017. Now, not every man can wear head-to-toe pink, but it is an easy colour to add into your summer wardrobe for an instant update.

Drink it with: The Chamble

“Custom cocktail created by Wyborowa’s team. Fitting for Valentine’s Day, weddings, impressing your guests, or just to match your pastel outfit.”

40 mL Wyborowa vodka

30 mL lemon juice

20 mL simple syrup

10 mL raspberry liqueur

Preparation: Mix everything except the raspberry liqueur in a Tumbler/Old Fashioned glass, stir and top up with crushed ice. Lace the raspberry liqueur over the crushed ice so it trickles down into the glass. To simplify, used cubed ice instead of crushed. Garnish with two raspberries.
