Restaurant Su: A Turkish Dinning Experience For Foodies
I recently moved to a new neighborhood, which means I get the chance to discover new restaurants. Since we live in a strange world where we can’t try a restaurant without reading reviews online, I researched the best spots to test out. Restaurant Su quickly caught my attention with its great reviews and appealing menu. With my in-laws in town for the night, it seemed like the perfect time to give it a try.
The decor automatically transports you into another country thanks to the blue and white furniture and bright ceramic plates on the wall. You have the option to create your own tasting experience by picking mezes of your choice ($6 – $12) or simply ordering a main course ($21 – $26). I suggest that you opt for the discovery menu where the chef chooses the best plates for you. Everybody at the table, except me, chose that option and couldn’t stop raving about how delicious everything was! Since I am a vegetarian, I picked many mezes to create my own foodie nirvana. Some plates include Turkish filo dough rolls or Cauliflower fritters with homemade ketchup. The rolls were light and fluffy with subtle spices. The homemade sweet ketchup on the fritters perfeclty balanced their salty taste, whitout one overpowering the other. We left the restaurant totally satisfied and I can’t wait to come back to try their brunch option that sounds just as delicious!
