Hot Spots: Asian Restaurants You Need to Try This Winter

If you want to add a little bit of spice to your life without being too risqué, try these asian restaurants for an instant kick.

Orange Rouge

106 De La Gauchetière West

Located between the Old Port and Quartier des spectacles this Chinese restaurant delivers its hungry clients an haute cuisine Asian dishes. You won’t find any dumplings or egg rolls here, but  you will find duck confit, mint salad, and pork ribs with Asian bbq sauce. Make sure you don’t leave without trying their exotic cocktails, especially their home-made Bloody Caesar using mescal and sichuan pepper.

Red Tiger

1201 Maisonneuve East

You could easily walk by this resto-pub located in The Village, if it wasn’t for the red light sign outside. And that would be a real shame. Once you step inside, you are automatically seduced by how friendly the staff is and how eager they are to make sure you enjoy your experience. They serve uber tasty Vietnamese street food, a change from the  Pho soups we usually associated with this type of cuisine. You absolutly have to try their papaya salade served in a plastic bag just like they serve in the streets of Vietnam.

1184 Place Phillips

Even if the words “Asian-fusion” might sound scary at first, Jatoba is a newcomer that delivers flavorful Japanese food with a North-American twist. We are talking about a true high-end restaurant experience with a beautiful decor. Jatoba has an amazing sashimi, and their chocolate bomb is simply to die for. Their five spice old fashion cocktail is a delicious experience, made with a mix bourbon and asian spices .
