Steve Domoney's Australian villa

First a cottage, this little piece of heaven was transformed into a villa to better fulfill every growing family's needs.

The old and new areas and details of the house are mixed together harmoniously through contrasts highlighted by different tones: older elements are painted in white whilst the newest are charcoal. The fusion of the pre-existing parts of the villa with the new ones appears to deliver unprecedented benefits to its owners.

The cottage’s smaller rooms are repurposed into bedrooms and other utility spaces whilst the new part, rising over two levels, provides a more flowing arrangement of space, visually interconnected to produce a favourable environment for a young family. The garden and the pool are integrated to the house by a transitive outdoor covered zone opened through both levels.

The architect, Steve Domoney proposes a home with great attributes that will certainly enrich any family’s daily routine.
